Spaceships in Minecraft are hard to make. Some people stumble on the shape and size. Others don't know what to put in it. Here is the stuff you need to know about making one in Minecraft!

Method 1
Method 1 of 2:

Designing Your Own

  1. 1
Write down what you want in the craft on the piece of paper. Bridge, cafeteria, engineering, botany bay, airlocks etc.
  2. 2
Log into Minecraft and get some quartz, glass and things you'll need. Start the docking area. You may want to fit a viewing section in at the back.

  3. 3
Create some security checking facilities, then start to do the living area. Cabins, cafe, rumpus room.
  4. 4
Add some airlocks and escape pods around the sides.
  5. 5
Curve upwards, adding research centers and experiment facilities.
  6. 6
End with the bridge and the Captain's quarters.
  7. 7
Polish up your creation with glowstone and windows to make the outside look better.

Method 2 of 2:

Using Galacticraft

  1. 1
Download Forge for the version of Minecraft you want Galacticraft on. This is the link for Forge: https://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.11.2.html
    • Galacticraft only goes up to version 1.11.2. Click on the version numbers on the side to choose one.
    • Then download the recommended version of the Windows installer if you have Windows, and the normal installer if you don't.
  2. 2
Wait for the download and then click Run. It will bring up a screen that has three bullets:
    • Install Client
    • Install server
    • Extract
  3. 3
Click Install Client. Later if you want Galacticraft on a server you can choose that option.
    • On the bottom, it will have file directory' you want it to go to your appdata/roaming/.minecraft. If it ends like that leave it alone and click OK. It will start downloading.
    • This can take a while. If it comes up with "Successfully Installed Client Forge," you have Forge and can now install Galacticraft for the same version of Minecraft.
  4. 4
Install the Micdoodlecore and Galacticraft mods. They will allow you to build your spaceship and fly into space. They even allow you to land on planets and moons in our solar system and create your own space station!
    • You can find these mods at https://micdoodle8.com/mods/galacticraft/downloads
    • Next to "Minecraft Version," choose the version of Minecraft you installed Forge for. Then you can install the top two mods.
    • You can install Galacticraft planets to explore the whole solar system and more, but it is not required. You can explore the moon and mars without it.
  5. 5
Put the mods in your mods folder.
    • Open you files window to the file directory bar and type in %appdata%. Press Enter. This will take you to your Roaming folder.
    • Find your .minecraft folder and open it.
    • If you don't see the Mods folder, create it! Right-click off to the side and click "New" then "Folder". Name it Mods.
    • Put the mods you downloaded in it. Now they should be ready to use!

  • Question
How do I make it go to the moon?

You need mods for that. Or, you could build two duplicate spaceships far away from each other. Then, decorate the landscape differently, making one landscape look like the moon. Use the command blocks to teleport the player from one ship to the other.
