How to Make a Secret Base in Minecraft

Find a spot that's empty where you'll be able to dig down.^[1]

Dig a 3x3x3 hole for the redstone device. It will serve as an entrance.

Make the redstone device. Put 2 blocks in the middle and a raised block to the back and a block to the right. Place a redstone torch to the right, redstone dust under the raised block, redstone comparator, detector rail and a minecart with hopper in the rail. Place the sticky piston on the top of the torch. Cover the redstone and pistons using dirt blocks.^{[2] [3]}

• To open the entrance, throw an item on the block near the hopper. To close it, collect the item.

Dig down another five blocks and put the ladder from the ground to the redstone entrance.

Dig a 2x2x2 pathway.

At the end of the pathway, dig a 9x6x3 room for the base.

Put a quartz pillar at the corner and a door at the front.

Make the ceiling. Put 2 quartz slabs around the quartz pillars. In the gap put a sea lantern with wooden trapdoors.

Replace the stone walls with gray concrete.

Make the first room. Connect the quartz pillar and place a black bed in the middle. Surround it with quartz slabs.

Put 3 paintings surrounding the bedroom.

Make the flooring.

Add flower pots.

Make one left side and one right side rooms.

Place the double chests in the left side room . This will be the storage room.

Place a furnace, ender chest, brewing stand in the right side room. Put 2 crafting tables under it. This will be the crafting room.
