As long as you’re signed up for their rewards program (known as being a Beauty Insider), you can choose a gift from their yearly birthday selection to take home for free. So, what are you waiting for? Your new favorite product may be waiting online or in stores!
Things You Should Know
- Claim your gift online by logging into your Beauty Insider account and selecting “Redeem Your Rewards” at checkout while making an additional purchase.
- Alternatively, visit a Sephora and tell a Sephora Beauty Advisor that it’s your birth month so you can redeem your gift in-store.
- Sephora's selection of birthday gifts changes once a year, with each new selection being announced at the start of the year.
Steps
Redeeming Your Gift Online

1Log in to your Beauty Insider account. Those signed up for Sephora’s shopping rewards are called “Beauty Insiders,” and only those with an account can redeem a birthday gift. So, sign up or sign in to your account on Sephora.com.

2Make a purchase on Sephora’s website or app. In order to claim your birthday gift online, you must buy something. Treat yourself to a birthday lip gloss, conditioner, or hair mask, and add it to your cart.
- There’s no minimum purchase amount, so order whatever merchandise you’d like, big or small.

3Click “Redeem Your Rewards” and select your gift. Proceed to checkout and select the “Redeem Your Rewards” option above the items in your cart. Pick the gift you’d like and place your order as usual.
- If the birthday gifts don’t appear in “Redeem Your Rewards,” it may be because it isn’t your birth month or the wrong month is listed in your Beauty Insider account.
- Contact 1-877-SEPHORA if the correct birth month is listed in your account and you’re unable to claim your gift.[1]
Claiming Your Gift In Store

1Head to your local Sephora. The cheapest and easiest way to redeem your birthday gift is by visiting a Sephora in person. So, take a trip during your birth month to the nearest Sephora.
- Only Beauty Insiders can claim a birthday gift from Sephora, so make sure you’re signed up before you go.

2Tell a Sephora Beauty Advisor that it’s your birth month. Go to the checkout counter or locate an Advisor on the floor. Let them know that you’re a Beauty Insider and you’re there to redeem your birthday gift.[2]

3Pick your gift from their available selection. The in-store selection for birthday gifts may be smaller than the online selection due to in-store stock. If your store doesn’t have the birthday item you wanted in stock, ask if another nearby store does or order online.
- You don’t need to make a purchase to redeem your gift in-store, but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself! Browse the aisles before or after you select your birthday gift if you’d like.
