Digital Wellbeing is a new feature implemented into TikTok (formerly musical.ly) that can give heads-up reminders to take breaks, as well as block potentially inappropriate content. This feature is useful if your child is using TikTok and you don't want them spending too much time on there, or looking at inappropriate content. This wikiHow will show you how to turn this feature on in your TikTok account.

  3. 3
Navigate to your profile page. Tap on the bottom right corner to get there.
  4. 4
Tap on the settings gear, then tap on Privacy and Settings. Scroll down to Digital wellbeing. It will have an umbrella icon to the left of it.
  5. 5
Tap on Digital wellbeing, then Turn on. Enter a passcode that will be hard for your child to guess so that they cannot bypass digital wellbeing.
    • If you forget the passcode, you'll have to wait 30 days before it expires, and then you can reset it afterward.
  6. 6
Turn on or off time limits. Tap the toggle that says "Screen time management". You only get two hours of TikTok per day when this is on before having to enter your passcode.
  7. 7
Turn on or off restricted mode. Tap the toggle that says "Restricted Mode". Turning on restricted mode hides content that has a warning above the comment section.
  8. 8
Change the passcode. Tap on Change password to set another passcode. Do this if your child figures out the passcode to get around digital wellbeing.

You are liking videos way too fast. Please use the "Report a problem" feature to give more detail (My profile > Settings > Report a Problem).

What does it mean when the app tells me I'm tapping too fast and to take a break? It won't let me favorite videos. Do you know how to bypass this?

That is an anti-spam system to prevent spambots from liking videos. When this happens, you will need to restart the app or wait a few hours before trying again.
  • Question
How can I increase my viewers on TikTok?

Post high quality content. The algorithm recommends videos with good lighting, good content, and mobile native resolution (900x1600).
