Using the Twitter App for Android

    Launch the Twitter app. It’s the blue icon with a white bird. Update your app, if you haven't already done so.

    Tap on the menu button. It's located at the top-left corner of the app.

    Tap on Settings and privacy. It will be the second last option.

    Open the Display and sound settings. You will find this option under the “General” title.

    Turn on the “Dark mode”. Tap on the Dark mode option, then select On from the menu.

    Log on to your Twitter account. Go to www.twitter.com on your desktop browser and log in with your account, if you haven't already done so.

    Click on the More option. You can see it in the left menu panel. When you click on it, a drop-down menu will appear on your screen.

    Click on the Display settings. It will be the second-last option in the drop-down menu. The customization panel will show up.

    Select Lights out. Navigate to the “Background” title, then click on the Lights out button and hit “Done” to enable the true black theme on Twitter.

    Finished. If you want to restore Twitter's default theme, just navigate to the “Display” settings and select “Default” as the Background option. That's it!
