This wikiHow teaches you how to set a limit on how much a service provider can charge your PayPal account. If you subscribe to a service that charges your PayPal account variable payments, you can set a maximum limit on how much that service can charge your account. You can only set billing limits on the full desktop PayPal website, you cannot add or manage limits from the mobile app.
Steps

1Go to https://www.paypal.com in a web browser. Open your preferred web browser on your computer and go to the main PayPal website.
- Log in with the username and password for your PayPal account if you haven't done so already.

2Click Activity. It's at the top of the page next to the "Summary" tab.Advertisement

3Select an active or recurring transaction that you want to limit. You can click on any transaction to view more information.
- You can tap the two date boxes in the top-left corner to change the timeframe, or you can click Advanced filters on the right side of the page to filter the transactions by type.

4Click Details. It's next to the service provider's name.

5Click View Payment Agreement Details.

6Click Edit Billing Limit under "Bill Term".

7Enter a limit amount. Enter a limit amount in dollars and cents.
