This wikiHow teaches you how to send a large file to another computer via email or sharing service. The easiest way to do this is by using one of a few different cloud storage services,[1] but you can use a file-sharing site called WeTransfer to share files of up to 2 gigabytes if you don't want to sign up for an account.
Steps
Google Drive

1Open Google Drive. Go to https://drive.google.com/ in your computer's web browser. This will open your Google Drive account if you're logged in.
- If you aren't logged in, click the blue Go to Drive button in the middle of the page if it's there, then enter your Google email address and password.

2Click NEW. It's a blue button in the upper-left corner of the page. A drop-down menu will appear.Advertisement

3Click File upload. You'll find this option in the drop-down menu. Doing so prompts a window to open.
- If you want to upload a folder full of files instead, click Folder upload in this menu.

4Select your file(s). Go to the location of a file that you want to send to another computer, then click the file to select it.
- To select multiple files at once, hold down Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ Command (Mac) while clicking individual files.
- If you're selecting a folder, just click the folder which you want to upload.

5Click Open. It's in the bottom-right corner of the window. Doing so will prompt your file(s) to begin uploading.

8Send the link via email. To do so, open an email inbox of your choice and create a new email, enter an email address in the "To" field, paste the link into the email's body section by pressing Ctrl+V (Windows) or ⌘ Command+V (Mac), and click the "Send" button or icon.[3]
- Sending a link in this manner ensures that non-Dropbox users will be able to download via the link.

9Download the file on the other computer. To do so, you or the email's recipient must open the email that you sent, click the link, click Download in the upper-right side of the page, and click Direct download in the resulting drop-down menu.
