When you purchase multiple items from the same seller on eBay, it's a great idea to combine the shipping. Luckily, most sellers will be glad to send your items in the same package! This wikihow article will teach you how to ask a seller for combined shipping on the eBay mobile app before or after you've paid for an order.
Steps
-
1Add multiple items from the same seller to your cart. In order to take advantage of combined shipping on eBay, your purchased items must come from the same seller. Because many sellers on eBay tend to follow a loose theme or type, you should be able to find several items of interest from a single seller.[1]
-
2Go to your cart and check your subtotal. Many sellers offer combined shipping automatically. If that is the case, your shipping cost and subtotal will reflect your discount. Such discounts can vary, so you may want to reach out to the seller to inquire how they calculate their combined shipping amount.
- If your seller does not automatically offer combined shipping, the shipping total for your order will simply be the sum of the shipping costs of the items in your cart. Many sellers are still likely to offer combined shipping, even if they do not have their account set up to reflect it automatically.

3Message the seller. In order to request combined shipping, you must contact the seller directly. From your cart, tap on one of the items you intend to buy. Then, on the item's page, scroll down until you find the seller's info. Tap "Contact seller" on the right-hand side to compose a message. Be sure to note all of the items you intend to buy.
- eBay requires that you categorize your question. Be sure to categorize this message as a "question about combined shipping for multiple items."[2]
- If you have already paid for multiple items from a single seller, and the items are not yet marked as shipped, you may still be able to take advantage of combined shipping. Simply message the seller following these same steps and explain your situation. If the seller complies, you will likely receive your discount in the form of a partial refund.
-
4Await your invoice. When a seller receives a request for combined shipping, eBay asks that they send the buyer an invoice for all of their requested items. This invoice will include the new cost of shipping. Open the invoice from either your e-mail, or the "Messages" section located along the left-hand sidebar. eBay will pull up your invoice and prompt you to check out with the modified total.
