Starting as an adult can suck right? Well with this guide you'll be able to live as a teenager in your own house in the sims 3. It's really simple.
Steps
-
1Create 2 Sims in Create-a-Sim. One MUST be an adult or young adult, the other obviously will be the teenager (note that this doesn't work with Sim children as they cannot cook or work) you'll be playing with so make him/her good.
-
2Move them into a normal house. It doesn't need to be magnificent. You can use the cheat "freerealestate" to get a free house.Advertisement
-
3Once that's done, send the teenager off into town and get the adult to cook. Make him/her stop when they've put it in the oven.
-
4A fire should start, your Sim hop about screaming about it and then (hopefully so it works)the adult will die. Grim reaper comes, etc.
-
5And you're done, just move the grave somewhere and you'll be able to live as a teenager on your own.

Method 1 of 2:
Alternative Method
-
1Create an adult Sim in CAS. Make them the gender of the teenager you want but don't worry about looks. Assign the traits you want though.
-
2Move the Sim into the house as you would a normal family.
-
3Turn on "testingcheatsenabled true" and shift+click the Sim, then choose "Edit Sim in CAS".
-
4Once CAS loads, change the Sim's age to a teenager and then edit them as a teenager as you would a normal Sim.
-
5When you're done editing, click the tick on the bar along the bottom. You will be returned to the ordinary game with a teenage Sim.

-
5Type in ' Testingcheatsenabled true ' without quotation marks, then click enter.

-
7Click on Object...
-
8Click Delete.
-
9Your adult Sim will be gone! - This method is better than killing your adult Sim because your other Sims won't mourn for their loss and won't even realize that he's / she's gone! However, it might cause save game glitches.

Community Q&A
-
QuestionWill child protective services come to take the teen Sims away once I get rid of the adults? Or does the game think there is still an adult there? That Emo KidCommunity AnswerNeither. The teen is able to live on their own without the social worker taking them or needing an adult. They are able to care for themselves.
-
QuestionHow do I keep my Sims from dying in the Sims 3?Community AnswerMake sure you take care of your Sims' needs. Be sure to use an umbrella in the rain, wear light clothing in the summer, warm clothing in the winter, etc.
-
QuestionCan I have a house full of teens in The Sims 3?Community AnswerYes, it is possible. You can use any of the methods mentioned above. I made a house full of teens by making 7 teens and one adult, then using "testingcheatsenabled true" to change the adult into a teen.

Warnings
- Testingcheatsenabled is a very powerful cheat and can wreak havoc with a game if used improperly (like deleting sims randomly by shift clicking on them etc.). You may wish to turn it off again once finished with.⧼thumbs_response⧽
