In addition charging your Apple Watch with a standard wall charger, you can also replenish your battery while driving. This wikiHow will show you how to charge your Apple Watch in a vehicle using a USB port or car charger.
Steps
-
1Check to see if your car has a USB port. The port is thin, rectangular, and usually found next to the AUX port. Look on the dashboard, in the armrest, or near your gear-shifter.
- Your Apple Watch should have come with a charger when you purchased it; if not, you can get it from Apple.
- If your car does not have a USB port, you'll need a car charger with a USB port that can plug into your cigarette lighter (also the 12V socket). You can get one from Apple's online store.
-
2Connect the USB side of the charger cable into a USB port. If your car or car charger has multiple USB ports, it doesn't matter which one you use. They should all work the same.[1]Advertisement
-
3Place your Watch on the charger pad. The Watch should go face-up on the charging pad and you should feel a slight magnetic pull as the charger connects with the Watch. When the screen lights up and displays a charging battery icon, you'll know that your Watch is being charged.
