How to Cancel a Babbel Subscription

This wikiHow teaches you how to cancel your paid subscription with Babbel. If you signed up on Babbel's website, you can cancel your membership in your profile. If you signed up on your Android, you can manage your subscription in the Play Store. And if you used your iPhone or iPad and are being billed by iTunes/Apple, you can cancel your subscription in the App Store.

Using Babbel.com

Go to https://babbel.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser to cancel your subscription, but if you signed up through Babbel.com and not the Google Play Store or App Store, you must use the website to cancel your subscription.
- If you pay for your subscription with a credit/debit card and aren't billed through Google Play or iTunes/Apple, you can use this method to cancel your membership.
- If you subscribed to Babbel with your Google Play Store or Apple account, skip to the appropriate methods.^{[1]

Log in. You'll see the button to log in at the top-right corner of the page.

Click your username. You'll see your username at the top-right side of the page.

Click Profile and settings. This is usually the first option in the menu.

Click Account Information. You'll see this in the menu on the left side of the page.

Click Disable auto-renewal.This cancels your membership. You'll see the date the subscription expires listed, and you'll also receive an email confirmation of the change.^{[2]

Using Google Play on an Android

Open the Google Play Store
. You'll find its briefcase icon in the app drawer.
- Use this method if you are being billed for your Babbel subscription by Google Play. This is common if you signed up on an Android.

Tap ☰. You'll see this in the top-left corner of your screen.

Tap Subscriptions. This is usually in the middle of the first section.

Select the Babbel subscription. The subscription's details page will load.

Tap Cancel Subscription. This cancels your subscription and sends you a confirmation message via email. You'll also see listed the date that the subscription will end.

Using an iPhone or iPad

Open the App Store
on your iPhone or iPad. You'll find this blue icon with a white "A" on your home screen or in a folder.
- If you haven't upgraded your iPhone or iPad to iOS 11.3 or later, you can cancel your subscription in the Settings app. Just tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, and then skip to step 4.^{[3]
