- 100 grams of sugar
- 100 grams unsalted butter
- 175 grams plain flour

-

-
2Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl. Do this until the mixture is light and fluffy.Advertisement
-
3Crack your egg into your mix and slowly begin to beat it in, making sure it is all mixed together.
-
4Add in the flour using a sieve. Place the sieve above the bowl and hold in place while you shake the flour through it, removing any lumps.
- Alternatively to plain flour you could use self-rinsing flour or white Lilly flour.
-
5Mix the flour into the paste. Slowly but surely your mix will become a dough. Add more flour if the mix is too soggy. Your mix should be a dough.
-
6Dust the worktop with flour, so that when you roll the dough it doesn't stick.
-
7Flour the rolling pin and then place the dough on the worktop. Begin to roll the dough until it's as thick as cardboard. Once rolled out, begin to cut out the circles. Any left over dough can be reclustered to repeat the procedure.
-
8Grease your cooking tray with butter and place the biscuits on top.
-
9Cook the biscuits for 15min-25min.
-
10Let the biscuits cool off before adding any kind of decoration.

QuestionCan I do this if I am under 18?Community AnswerIf you're allowed to use the oven by yourself, sure. If not, just ask a parent/guardian to do this with you.
-
QuestionWhat should I do if the mix is too dry?Mary ThompsonCommunity AnswerHave you read the instructions carefully? Did you add the proper ingredients in the order indicated in the instruction? Do you measure the ingredients in appropriate devices. Do not be tempted to add liquid, it is likely to be too much and there are few remedies for overly wet mixes. I have tried adding a teaspoon of the same liquid at a time until the mix looks right. However, first verify that you have added the prescribed ingredients asked for in the instructions. Secondly, verify you have stirred the ingredients as the recipe indicates.
