Reaching the peak of Mt. Komorebi is a new adventure for your Sims to tackle in the Sims 4 Snowy Escape expansion pack. The mountain climb excursion is a goaled and timed social event with three phases. This article walks you through how to prepare your Sim for the climb and complete each task to reach Gold level.
Steps

1Purchase climbing gear. Climbing gear can be purchased by clicking on any computer. Choose “Order…” from the list of options. Click on the “Adventure Gear…” bubble and select “Purchase Climbing Gear”.
- Open your Sim’s inventory and locate the climbing gear. Click on the climbing gear and select “Equip Climbing Gear".

2Purchase a tent. Your Sim will be required to rest during their hike. However, a tent may not always be available. Purchase a tent to keep handy in your Sim's inventory.
- Open build mode and select "Objects by Room". Select the "Outdoors" tab and click on "Outdoor Activities". Select the "Canvas Cabin" and place it anywhere on the lot.
- Return to live mode. Click and hold the tent to drag it down to your Sim's inventory.

3Purchase first aid supplies. Along the hike, your Sim may require items to ward off bugs or to soothe an injury. To purchase these items, travel to the Yukimatsu neighborhood in Mt. Komorebi using the phone and locate the vending machines near the ski lift entrance.
- Click on the “Bits ‘n Bobbles” vending machine and select “Purchase Bits ‘n Bobbles".
- Place your cursor over each item to read the description and purchase any desired items.

4Purchase canned food. During the excursion, your Sim will be required to eat something before moving on to the next phase of the climb. Purchase canned food for your Sim, as it will not spoil in their inventory.
- Locate the “Hot Food and Drinks” vending machine found near the ski lift entrance. Select “Purchase Hot Food and Drinks”. Purchase canned soup.

5Plan your "Mountain Climb Excursion" event. To climb Mt. Komorebi, your Sim will need to host a social event. Open the phone and select “Plan a Social Event” found under the “Social” tab.
- Select the social event labeled “Mountain Climb Excursion”. Select your Sim to be the “Excursion Leader”. Invite at least 1 other Sim to be “Team Members”. Choose “Onsen Bathhouse” as the location
- All excursion team members will automatically appear at the Onsen Bathhouse. Make your way up to the first climbing wall, located at the top of the slopes to the left.

6Check climb readiness of excursion leader and team members. Before attempting the first climb, click on your Sim and select "Check Excursion Leader's Climbing Readiness". Check other member's climb readiness the same way.

7Have a Sim perform any exercise to warm-up. This can increase your Sim's chances of a successful climb. Click on your Sim and select the "Rock Climbing..." bubble. Select "Do Pre-Climb Stretching".

8Climb the first rock wall. Click on the rock wall and select “One-Time…”. Select any of the climb options available.

9Gather excursion members near the Trail Map Marker. All excursion members must gather around the map marker in order to move on to the next phase of the climb.
- If the team members do not automatically gather near the map marker, click anywhere on the ground near the map marker and select “Go Here Together”.
- Select “Move on” in the top left corner of the screen and all Sims will be taken to the next phase.

10Have a Sim rest for 1 hour. If a tent is already available at this location, click on the tent and select either the “Sleep” option or the “Nap” option.
- If there is not an existing tent, open your Sim’s inventory and locate the tent. Click on the tent and select the “Place in World” bubble. Click on the tent and select "Sleep" or "Nap".

11Inspect climbing route conditions. Locate the rock wall across the bridge and click on the wall. From the option bubbles, select “Inspect Climbing Wall Conditions”.

12Climb the second rock wall. Click on the rock wall and select “One-Time…”. Select any of the climb options available.

13Gather excursion members near the Trail Map Marker. All excursion members must gather around the map marker in order to move on to the next phase of the climb.
- If the team members do not automatically gather near the map marker, click anywhere on the ground near the map marker and select “Go Here Together”.
- Select “Move on” in the top left corner of the screen and all Sims will be taken to the next phase.

14Have a Sim eat something. Open your Sim’s inventory and locate the canned soup. Click on the canned soup and select the “Drink” option.

15Have a Sim climb courageously. This is the tallest and most dangerous climb your Sim will make. Locate and click on the final rock wall. Choose “One-Time…” and select “Climb Courageously”.
- This action requires your Sim to be at level 9 of the rock-climbing skill. Your Sim may still attempt to climb the wall with a lower skill level but will not receive the gold medal for this phase.

16Gather excursion members near the Trail Map Marker. The map marker is a bit further away in this phase than in previous phases. Locate the map marker and click on the ground near the near map marker. Select “Go Here Together” and all Sim’s will gather by the map marker.
- Select "Move On" in the top left corner to reach the peak of Mt. Komorebi.

17Explore the views from the top of Mt. Komorebi. Congratulations, your excursion team has reached the top of Mt. Komorebi! Your Sim is not required to complete any goals here, so take a look around and enjoy the views!
- For reaching Gold, your Sim has been rewarded with 300 Simoleons, a mountain climbing bracelet and beanie, a gold plaque, and the "Expert Mountaineer" reward trait!
- There is a hidden lot located at the very top. Build mode is enabled there so you may build anything your Sim wishes here! However, in order to return to this lot, your Sim will need to complete the hike up Mt. Komorebi again.

Warnings
- There is a risk of injury or death when climbing Mt. Komorebi. To avoid such situations, carry injury remedies in your Sim’s inventory and check the climbing conditions before attempting a climb. To avoid death entirely, consider using “Ctrl+Shift+C” to access the cheat dialogue box and entering “death.toggle” to disable.⧼thumbs_response⧽
