If you feel like conversations are a potential minefield and you're worried about inadvertently offending someone, you're not alone. Certified Professional Master Life CoachTake her feelings into consideration! If they come from a traumatic background, the worst thing you could do is just leave. When you need more space, suggest that you would “like” to take it. This is not to insinuate that you need their approval, but merely to show respect for their feelings as well.
