This simple little basket can be made from something as simple as a sheet of paper. Use it to hold sweets, loose change, or anything light and small.
Steps
-
1Start out with a square sheet of paper. If you can't get square paper use A4 and fold it to get a square then tear off the side.
-
2Make a fold from all the corners: Diagonal to diagonal and the other 2 corners. Fold the paper in half from the top to the bottom and from the left to the right. You should have 4 folds.Advertisement
-
3Take 2 opposite corners and fold them in so they meet in the middle.
-
4Fold the 2 trapeziums in towards the middle and then stand them up. These are the sides of your origami basket.
-
5Take the sides that slope down and push down on them and flick the pointy bit up.
-
6Fold it down to the level of the other sides.
-
7Do the same to the other side.
-
8You have finished your basket.
