If you are reading this, you probably know someone who already knows how to do this, and want to learn the secret yourself. You have come to the right place.
Steps
-
1Get 8 square sticky notes. Fold the two sticky corners on one towards the center.
-
2Fold the bottom edge to the tip of the point you just created.[1]Advertisement
-
3Fold in half vertically so that it looks like a square made of two triangles.[2]
-
4Pull the shared upper left corner of the triangles apart from itself until you get a rhombus shape and crease.[3]
-
5Repeat the previous steps seven times with different sticky notes.[4]
-
6There should be a tip that you can pull apart on each. Take another sticky note and put the tip that doesn't pull apart into the slot. Rest the edge against the point where the tips fold apart and line the tip up with the top edge of the other one.[5] If you've done this right, the tip of the first rhombus should stick out from the second, but don't get frustrated if it doesn't. It's a matter of how you have them rotated. Flip one of them over top-to-bottom and go again.
-
7Fold the the tabs (actually two protruding tips) into the gap between the sides on the second rhombus.[6]
-
8Holding the whole thing so that the tip points to the outside, continue adding links to it in the same fashion until you have a full circle.[7] The last one can be a bit tricky.
-
9This circle is collapsible. By pushing the sides together, it transforms into the complete shuriken, and by pulling apart again it goes back.

-
QuestionDoes it have to be with sticky notes?Community AnswerNo, you can cut some paper to the correct size and use glue to imitate the sticky part.
-
QuestionCan you provide additional information on the third step?Community AnswerWhen you have the bottom part towards the top, fold it so it looks like two triangles instead of folding it the other way and getting no triangles.
