Tired of walking to and fro between cities in Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver? Did you know that one of the Hidden Moves (HMs) in this game allows you to fly back and forth between cities you've visited? All you need is a bit of patience and a flying-type Pokémon.
Steps
-
1Go to Ecruteak City. Visit the Ecruteak City Gym and defeat Morty to get the Fog Badge. This allows you to use HM Surf outside of battle.
-
2After defeating Morty, go southeast in the city to find the Dance Theater. Enter it.Advertisement
-
3Find the Team Rocket Grunt bullying a Kimono Girl on the stage. Walk up to the Grunt and talk to him. Defeat him in battle.
-
4Walk down off the stage and talk to the gentleman who approaches you. He gives you HM Surf because of your bravery. Now teach Surf to one of your Pokémon.
-
5Go to Olivine City. Go down from the entrance to the beach. Surf into the water.
-
6Keep surfing downwards. Gradually turn to the left at the bottom of the screen when you reach the rocks. Avoid the whirlpool and continue west. You'll wash up on Cianwood City.
-
7Enter the Cianwood City Gym and defeat Chuck.
-
8Once you beat Chuck and get the Storm Badge, walk outside the gym. Talk to the lady near the entrance and receive HM Fly.
Community Q&A
-
QuestionIs it possible to hack Pokemon into my game on SoulSilver?Community AnswerYes, but it is highly looked down on by almost everyone in the Pokemon community. Just remember, it is not worth it. It might make all your Pokemon shiny, but it might not be as exciting as finding your first shiny on your own.
Warnings
- The gym leader, Chuck has very strong fighting type Pokemon, flying type moves might do the trick.⧼thumbs_response⧽
