Here are some ribbon dancing moves you can try alone or with friends.
- These are not the actual names of the moves, if anybody knows the real names, please change them!!!
Steps
-
1Have your friends stand behind you in a completely straight line.
-
2Have a ribbon in both handsAdvertisement
-
3Move both hands upwards at the same time and speed
-
4When you get to when your arms form a straight line, then the person behind you should start moving their hands up.
-
5Continue until you have run out of people.
-
6Once you have gone up and then came down again, do not go up again unless you are going for a multiple wave effect.
-
7Once you get to the end of the line, you can start from the back and do the same thing.
-
8Starting at the back will require some more coordination to look good.
-
9Using the tip of the ribbon stick draw a circle above your head
-
10Make the circle nice and big so you do not get wrapped in it
-
11If you want, spin at the same time to make it look cooler
-
12This may be used to pass time when other people may be dancing.
-
13Try this without ribbons first.
-
14Flip arms up and down.
-
15When your hands are facing upwards, move them away from each other.
-
16When they are far enough apart (about a foot)
-
17Flip hands downwards and move them towards each other.
-
18Now try this movement with your hands in a fist and your thumb pointing up like if you were doing a "thumbs up" but have your thumbs as attached as you can to the rest of your hands.
-
19Once you can get that, try the ribbons.
-
20This one is fairly simple.
-
21Hold the ribbons in both hands.
-
22Have arms form a straight line to each other.
-
23Spin while moving arms up and down.
-
24Hold ribbons in both hands.
-
25Move arms as if you were doing a backstroke in the swimming pool.
-
26Slowly bend backwards.
-
27Put one of your legs farther back to go even farther down.
