Board Certified Veterinary DermatologistI do not recommend sticking cotton balls or anything inside the ear. Although we have the best intentions, what that ultimately does is push debris further in. It's better to fill the ear with enough solution, massage it to loosen the debris and let your dog shake their head with enough force to expel the dirt.
Things You’ll Need
- Cotton balls or ear cleaning wipes
- Ear cleaning solution
- Towel
- Ear powder (optional)
- Forceps or hemostat (optional)
