Knee-high boots can be difficult to store in a way that maintains their shape. Make it easy with this nifty trick.
Steps
Method 1
Method 1 of 4:
Magazine Roll-Ups
-
1Zip up the sides of your boots in readiness for storing.
-
2Roll up an unwanted magazine and insert into one boot. (You will need to hold the boot up as you insert the magazine.) Immediately it will uncurl and fill the boot shape.Advertisement
-
3Roll up a second unwanted magazine and insert it into the other boot. It will also uncurl.
-
4Put your boots in a standing up position in your shoe storage area. The magazines will ensure that the boots remain upright and retain a good shape.
-
5Repeat after each wear.

Method 2 of 4:
Noodle Stands
-
1Purchase a few pool noodles. Wait until they're on sale to get the best value, such as at the end of summer or during a summer clearance of pool items.
-
2Measure the noodle to the height of your boot.
-
3Cut the noodle at that height.
-
4Zip up the sides of the boots if needed.
-
5Slip the noodle inside the boot. Repeat for each boot requiring storage.

Method 3 of 4:
Plastic Bottle Stands
-
1Use soda or other slim bottles. The bottles need to be slim enough to slip into the boots.
-
2Drink your soda, juice or milk. Empty the bottles and clean them out. Allow to dry completely.
-
3Fill a little with sand, pebbles or water. This gives the bottle some weight. You don't need to fill more than halfway for stability; even a quarter will usually suffice.
-
4Zip up the sides of the boots if needed.
-
5Slip the bottles inside the boots. Place in storage.

Old Calendars
-
1Keep a stash of finished calendars. Those ones you can't bear to part with but are never going to look at again.
-
2Zip up the sides of the boots if needed.
-
3Roll up a calendar per boot leg. The thickness created by various pages will make a nice, strong roll.
-
4Slip inside each boot to be stored. Place in storage.
