How to Play as Franco in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Determine alternatives. Franco is not always viable in every situation, so if you need an alternative when he is not available, try using Atlas, Khufra, or Gatotkaca for similar CC skills and initiation, or use Belerick, Tigreal, or Minotaur for controlling a specific hero.

Use his passive (Wasteland Force). When Franco does not receive damage in five seconds, he will heal 1% of his Max HP, increase his movement speed by 10%, and begins to earn up to 10 stacks. ^[1] Once he uses his next skill, his skill damage can be increased to 150% immediately. While this passive may not be important to look out for throughout the game, the increased damage can help kill out an enemy hero with his skills.

Master his first skill (Iron Hook). This skill will make Franco launch his iron hook in a direction. If an enemy hero/minion/creep is caught nearby, Franco will bring back his hook to him and can stun the enemy in one second. ^[2] This is an important skill for Franco, and you should position yourself correctly to operate your other skills. ^[3]

• Try using Iron Hook multiple times. This will harass enemies and delay their recalling.
• If you use Flicker as his battle spell, you can immediately use Flicker after you hook your enemy. Attempt doing this short combo near a turret to earn a kill.

Handle his second skill (Fury Shock). Franco will smash the ground directly and deal physical damage while slowing enemies by 70%. ^[4] While simple enough, you can use this skill to help an ally clear the enemy minions quickly or assist others with killing an enemy hero with the slow effect.

Use his ultimate (Bloody Hunt). The ultimate will suppress an enemy for 1.8 seconds as he throws six hits to the enemy hero instantly with physical damage. ^[5] This should be the icing on the cake during team fights, as the suppression should help allies kill the enemy.

• Suppression will always guarantee the crowd control action without any interruption.

Pick his equipment. To get the ball rolling for Franco, start with Rapid Boots to increase his movement speed (you can also buy the roaming equipment if possible). Then, add Dominance Ice to slow enemies down and lower their attack speed, and add Antique Cuirass to reduce damage from skills. ^[6] You can also add Oracle to enhance his passive. The other two equipment slots depend on the circumstances, but adding Immortality, Guardian Helmet, Thunder Belt, Radiant Armour, or Athena's Shield can work.

• For his battle spell, use Flicker. Franco can use Flicker to retreat, but he can also use it to operate his hook with a long range.

Choose the emblem. This can be determined by user choice, but you can start with the Tank emblem. Upgrade Firmness and Purity to upgrade your defense to other heroes, and choose Concussive Blast to deal damage to enemies around. ^[7] If you desire the Support emblem, upgrade Agility for movement speed, Recovery for regeneration of HP and Mana, and Pull Yourself Together to lower his battle spell and resurrection cooldown. ^[8]

Understand combos of Franco. The most notable combo that you can endeavor as Franco is 1 - Ult - 2. Use Iron Hook first to catch an enemy hero (and if you want, use Flicker after hooking right where allies are), then utilize Bloody Hunt to suppress the enemy. If the enemy survives, press Fury Shock to finish them off. ^[9]

• As an alternative, use 1 - 2 when you are unable to use Bloody Hunt. Do Iron Hook to find an enemy hero, then use Fury Shock to slow the enemy.
