Have you thought about how to walk by faith as a Christian? Are you ready to begin praising, following, and making him your personal savior? It is a spiritual relationship. Although, sometimes, you may lose faith. You need to believe in Him with all your heart and walk in love through faith. This article will teach you how.
Steps
-
1Trust God. Believe that Jesus will take care of you. All you can give in return is praise. God gives us courage, not fear. Make it a priority to maintain your faith and hope in Christ.[1] Step out in faith and hope to seek your goal. Don't be afraid to stumble, remember that God will be watching you and be ready to pick you up. "For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?" (Romans 8:24)[2]
-
2Ask Jesus into your heart. If you want to be a Christian, the first step is to ask Jesus into your heart and to become your savior.Advertisement

3Distinguish between the actions of God and man. Be certain what Christianity is all about. Inform yourself about it before going in there blindly. God created all things good. The first humans Aram and Even committed the first mortal sin. God does not commit sin when humans do evil actions. It is our action alone. God shows us the path as He is the path, the way and the light. It is we who walk on it or get out of it in our temptation. Read your bible. By reading the bible, you will understand how things came to be.[3] Don't make it a chore, you can do it whenever you have time.
-
4Receive the gift of faith in God for salvation. By grace, through faith, not of yourself, not of works, but it is the gift of Father, God. See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason "the world does not know us, because it did not know Him"(1 John 3:1)[4]
-
5Spur in one another affection and good deeds. Help one another through fellowship. Church is a big part of the community including charity in our relationship with Christ. Find a church that suits you; one that allows you to grow spiritually.[5] "And let us consider one another to provoke (motivate) to love and to good works.." (Hebrews 10:24)[6]
- Make friends with those who have a positive influence on you, both spiritually and mentally. If you don't have such friends, it is best to avoid having close friends who demean or discourage you.
-
6Go to church regularly. By going to church every Sunday, you will find new inspiration in being a Christian and living by faith. Be at church every week. Church is important to experience a group prayer and to see a growing relationship with Christ. "For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20).[7]
- Participate by going to church groups or helping in church activities. These are great ways to get closer to Him while also serving however you can.
-
7Make time to read your Bible.[8] Relate the Word of God to yourself. Apply biblical passages to your life in order to glorify God. Increase your faith by reading the Bible. "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).
- Remember that: "Problems to solve are also opportunities for success and/or expanding the kingdom of God".
-
8Get close to God by feeding the hungry. Serve anybody you meet as if you were serving God himself.[9] As Jesus said, people will ask Him: "Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?" He will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me" (Matthew 25:45)[10] He sees our deeds, good or bad; and whether done or not done as directly for Him or to Him.
-
9Keep your focus up towards Heaven. Trust in Him by soaring your wings like an eagle. Let the word of God become the first priority in your life. Keep your full trust in God. Trust can also be translated as believing or having Faith in the Lord. Let your trust grow day by day into a new beginning and new chapter in your life.
-
10Stop to receive His guidance. God is always there to give us a choice in our lives. To choose what is right and wrong just as Adam and Eve had to make a choice. We are always in a hurry and because of this fast moving world, you may want all things to be done in the way you want. But God is reminding us to wait patiently for Him. Trust Him in all you do in your life, and then all things will be in order.
-
11Strive more during spiritual conflicts. We sometimes look at the storms in our life. Your temptations and false reasoning often tries to alter your motive and vision. That is what he did to Peter when Peter took the step of faith and trusted Jesus that he will always walk on the water, but as soon as he deviated his focus and trust, he started to drown. So we have to make a decision to trust Him in times of trouble even when the situation may not seem favorable.
-
12Continue to believe in the Higher Being. You have to step across the faith line. A faith line is when we see things as "impossible" in our life. That is the moment that we have to trust in Him, rely on His word, search all the promises of God, and meditate on those promises until trust arises in our Heart. Never turn your back on Him. Be persistent in your belief. Walk in faith. "...we look not for the things which can be seen, but at the things which can not be seen; for the things which may be seen are temporal [temporary and passing away, transitory], but the kind of things which can not be seen [faith, hope, love] are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18).[11]
