Number one, yes wash your face every day. Our face can collect dirt, debris, and can even grow yeast if you're not careful. So I would wash my skin daily. And that would also allow it to be hydrated by washing it. By using a water source, like just water on the skin after you wash it with soap, that hydrates. And then if you put on a moisturizer, that then doubly hydrates the skin. Number two wear sunscreen. I believe in this one because if you do not wear sunscreen you start to really see the aging effect on people over time. But not only to protect the skin from aging, but also to give it its best chance of staying healthy and preventing skin cancer risk, wear sunscreen, and overall you're going to have healthier skin. If you never leave the house then you don't have to wear sunscreen. I know some patients ask me about that. And then number three, I would say moisturize the skin. So as I said what helps the skin keep its integrity and shape the best is hydrating it. Washing it hydrates it. Using sunscreen prevents it from sun damage. But actually moisturizing it with something that seals the skin barrier goes a long way. So hydrate your skin with a moisturizer or some other type of trusted agent that will help it stay younger but also be healthier.
