Many people today speak multiple languages, so it is only normal that one of the most popular device brands in the world should have language options available. Most users don’t realize that Android comes with a lot of built-in multi-language support. If you prefer to use Arabic, you can adjust the default language on an Android device to Arabic easily.

Steps

  1. 1
Open the Settings menu. Look for the gear icon on your home screen or app drawer. Tap to open the device Settings menu.
  2. 2
Locate “Language” in the Settings menu. Depending on your device, the language menu can be “Language and Input” or “Language and keyboard.” Tap it to open the Language Settings.

  3. 3
Set the language to Arabic. From the menu, select the very top option. It should say “Language,” and under it should be “English (United States)” or whatever your current default language is.
    • A new menu will load with a list of languages on it. Scroll down and select “العربية.” Selecting this option will change the default language on the phone, as well as the keyboard layout. The names of applications will not be changed, though.
