Bibimbap (비빔밥) which translates to "mixed rice" is a Korean dish that consist of white rice, raw egg, sautéed seasoned vegetables, sliced meat, chili pepper paste, and soy sauce or salty bean paste. Bibimbap is also really easy to make and looks pretty cool when you're done - you might want to take a picture!
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoon Korean red pepper paste
- 4 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon cooking oil
- Pepper for seasoning
- Salt for seasoning
- 5 button mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 1/2 medium zucchini, sliced into thin slices
- 1/2 medium onion white onion, sliced thinly
- 1/2 medium carrot sliced into strips
- 4 cups steamed short-grain white rice
- 5 romaine lettuce leaves, sliced thinly
- 4 fried eggs
- 1/2 bean sprouts, with a pinch of salt
- 6 slices of bulgogi

1Create the gochujang sauce. Combine the Korean red pepper paste, sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic cloves, minced ginger and sesame seeds together in a small bowl. This completes the sauce, it can now be set aside.

2Heat up some cooking oil in a heavy-bottomed pan on medium heat. Season and sauté the vegetables one at a time. Once all the vegetables are cooked properly, set aside.Advertisement

3Set up 4 bowls. Place 1 cup of rice in each of the bowls. Arrange the vegetables on top, along with 2 slices of bulgogi for each rice bowl. Make sure it looks appealing. Place a fried egg on top of the rice (the egg can also be raw if you like). Add bulgogi with the rice (bulgogi literally means fire meat).

4Pour the gochujang sauce on top. Don't add too much because this sauce is pretty spicy!

5Enjoy your bibimbap. Before eating, mix up the rice it should turn red when mixed well.
