Shops are a great method to get rich in both rares and currencies in Animal Jam. The "My Shop" item is a members-only Diamond Shop item released on February 7th, 2019,[1] and it's one of the more advanced den items in the game, as you can sell things for gems and diamonds instead of getting another item like how you'd do in a traditional shop. This wikiHow will teach you how to use this item.
Steps
Part 1
Part 1 of 4:
Purchasing the My Shop Item
-
1Purchase an Animal Jam membership if you haven't already. Since this is a members-only item, you're going to need to purchase an Animal Jam membership to host this type of shop.
- From purchasing the membership you should get 10 diamonds (if you got the membership for 3 months), 25 diamonds (if you got it for 6 months), or 60 diamonds (if you got it for a year). Since this item only costs 5 diamonds, you should be alright to buy the My Shop item right after you got the membership.
-
2Get at least 5 diamonds. If you don't have that many diamonds and you already have had the membership for a while, you're going to need to get some diamonds.
- You can get diamonds from the Member Spin, entering promo codes, or by purchasing them along with membership.

3Buy the shop. Head to the Diamond Shop, click on the den items pillar, and click the arrow at the bottom right until you reach the page with the My Shop. Purchase as many as you need.

Part 2 of 4:
Displaying the Shop
-
1Go to your den and open the "Edit Den" tab. It should be in the same place the "Den" button is in the bottom-right corner. The icon looks like a table. When it's open, there should be a bar at the bottom of the screen which lists the den items you own.
-
2Place the My Shop anywhere in your den. You can put it wherever you want, but don't put it in an inaccessible area.
-
3Exit out of the "Edit Den" tab. Click on the "X" in the top-right corner of the tab.

Part 3 of 4:
Stocking the Shop
-
1Click on the shop. A new window should pop up with several rounded-cornered squares with "+"s in the center.
-
2Stock up the shop. A window with clothing items should pop up. You can change between inventories, included pets, clothing items, and den items, by clicking different bubbles in the top-left corner of the window. Click on an item to select it to be in the shop.
- You can sell pets, clothing items, and den items. You cannot sell Mannequins or more My Shop items, and your shop inventory is limited to 24 items.
- Customers are more likely to buy if the price is fair and if the item you're selling is rare. Rare Item Mondays, clothing betas, den betas, Rare Spiked Collars, and Rare Spiked Wristbands are all good items to sell. Some less rare items that are also good to sell are pets, adventure items, and seasonal items.
- Don't worry about people complaining about prices too much; you can change the price of an item at any time by clicking on the shop again and clicking the item you want to reprice, and you can still easily get a decent amount of diamonds quickly for your items through the My Shop.
-
3Choose a price for the items. After you select an item to put into the shop, you will be asked you how many gems or diamonds you want to sell it for. Choose your currency and price and click "Sell". You should sell RIMs for 1-2 diamonds, and you can multiply the worth in RIMs of an item times 1-2 to figure out how much you should sell it for in diamonds.
-
4Press the "X" button in the corner once you're done stocking up your shop. It'll close out of the shop window.

Part 4 of 4:
Advertising the Shop
-
1Make sure your den is unlocked. If your den is locked, nobody can enter, so make sure it's not locked.
-
2When choosing an animal/outfit, make sure it looks good. Choose items that are rare and match well together so more people will notice you and go to your shop.
-
3Go to Jamaa Township. Open the world map by clicking the globe in the very bottom-right of the screen. Then, select "Jamaa Township".
-
4Go to the Actions tab next to the Emotes tab and select "Dance" or "Play". Your character will now start dancing. You can turn into a flying animal so people can see your username better or you can mention your username while you're advertising so people know who's den to go to if they can't click your nametag.
-
5Advertise. Say things like "Shop my den! Please come!" or "Shop my den! Everything must go!".
- It helps to say what you're selling while you're advertising, especially if the items you're selling are tempting, such as rare spikes.
-
6Keep advertising while customers are buying. Don't stop advertising, even if people buy items throughout. It's best to keep the customers coming until people stop buying or entering your den. Try encouraging people to come by saying things such as "Underpriced items for sale! Need to go fast!" or "Selling out fast!"
-
7If people aren't buying items after a long time, you might want to lower your prices or add more items. You can wait until your den is empty and then change some things.
-
8Restock the shop after a while. People most likely have bought a lot, and slowly there will be nothing good in your shop for people to buy. Go back to your den and restock. Repeat the stocking up process again, and click the "X" button on the top-right corner of all the items remaining from the previous session.
-
9Close the shop for the day after a while. Eventually, you're going to become sick of advertising. Sure, you're getting diamonds and gems, but it can get sort of repetitive after a while. Once you feel like this is the case, it would be a wise decision to close it down for as long as you see fit.

Warnings
- Remember to be polite when you ask your remaining customers to leave. You don't want to be reported by a person who felt disrespected. Not only that, but it could give you a bad reputation.⧼thumbs_response⧽
- Don't scam people out for their diamonds. Not only is this immoral, but it's also report-worthy.⧼thumbs_response⧽
- Don't get too mad if nobody buys anything for a long while even if the shop has been restocked; it's all pretty much luck-based.⧼thumbs_response⧽
