This is an easy way to catch Mesprit. It only works after having encountered Palkia/Dialga and defeating Team Galactic. Mesprit is located in Lake Verity. Steps

Go to Jubilife City and get the map marker app in the Poketech building.

There will be a marker on the map that looks like Mesprit.

Do whatever until the marker is on one of the routes next to you.

Chase him down and look in grass to start the battle if his marker is on top of yours.

Once in battle, use a fast Pokémon to use Mean Look or throw a Master Ball.

It is really simple. Drag the symbols on the bottom right corner of the bottom screen to where you want them. The marking map doesn't reset when you leave to another page. It is also used to find the three Legendary lake Pokemon.
