Whether you are having problems regarding your Steam account or you are fed up with the platform in general, Valve has made it simple and easy to delete your Steam account for once and for all, in just a few clicks. Permanently deleting your account will also delete your games.

Steps

    Go to store.steampowered.com in your browser.

    Log in with your Steam account name and password.

    Find your account name in the upper right-hand corner. Click on it, and select "Account Details" from the drop-down list.

    Scroll down and you should see a "Delete Account" button. Click it.

    Click the "Proceed to Account Deletion" button. That will initiate the process of account deletion.

    Fill out the entire form to verify ownership of the account that you are deleting. Submit it when you’re done.

    Check your email. Steam support will email you to verify your information. After you click the link, your account will be locked for 30 days. After that, it's gone for good!

Warnings

  • After your account is locked/deleted, you will not be able to play any games that use VAC or Steam servers. Your Steam wallet and gift card balances will also disappear with your account.
