Your favorite TV show is going to come on in an hour and your room is a complete mess. Your mom wants it done or she will not let you to watch your favorite show unless the room is cleaned. What will you do? That's right, clean your room, in the hour you have to spare.

Motivate yourself. For example you could: Play upbeat music, make it into a game, or play an audiobook.

Tidying the easy things

Take everything off your bed and make it. Put a new blanket sheet and pillow cover. This will make your room look cleaner already.

Make a pile of your dirty clothes and put it outside your room.

Look all over the room so you can find all of the stuff that does not belong there or doesn't even belong in the room.

Pick up all of the stuff that is on the floor and isn't in the right place. Put everything in its right place.

Take your rubbish to the bin.

After that, take your dirty clothes to the washing machine.

Cleaning the room

Take a broom or vacuum. Use it to clean up all the dust. Pick up any food that is on the floor.

Mop the floor so you can get all the stains and all the sticky stuff off the floor.

Clean your bedside table.

Use glass cleaner and clean everything made of glass like a TV, computer, or mirror.

Clean your desk dust. Vacuum clean your picture frames, mirrors and windows.

Vacuum to clean all the dust and scum off of the bedhead (if relevant).

Dust the book shelves and books. If you have a library in your room, then put all the chapter books with the chapter books and all the easy books with the easy books.

Put all the CDs and the DVDs in alphabetical order so you can have an easier time looking seeing what DVDs or CDs you want and what DVDs or CDs you don't want.
