With their easy application, strong grip, and vast array of flirty styles, magnetic lashes are a great alternative to glue-ons. However, the magnetic eyeliner can leave you scratching your head when it comes time to wipe it off. Luckily, the eyeliner isn’t as tough as it looks: it’s actually super simple to take off. In this article, we’ll tell you how to easily remove magnetic eyeliner. We’ll also give you tips on cleaning and storing your magnetic lashes so they stay usable for longer. Read on to learn how!

Remove your lashes by grabbing them at the outer corner of your eye and slowly pulling them across your lash line.
Moisten a cotton swab with a water-based makeup remover. Gently roll and dab the swab over the magnetic eyeliner to remove it.
Use your fingernails to scrape off eyeliner on your magnetic lashes. Then, rub a swab wet with water-based makeup remover along the lash base.
Brush your lashes with a lash comb and store them in their original packaging.

Remove your magnetic lashes.

Grip the outer corner of the lashes and pull them across your lash line. Pulling off your lashes from the middle can damage the band of magnets and pull out the lash hairs, which you definitely don’t want! Just take your thumb and pointer finger and grab the lashes on the outer corner of your eye. Gently pull up and slowly peel the lashes off, following the natural curve of your eyelid.^{[1]

Use a water-based makeup remover to remove the eyeliner.

Wet a cotton swab with makeup remover and run it along your lash line. Water-based makeup removers, such as micellar water, break up magnetic eyeliner with ease and are gentle on the delicate skin around your eyes. Soak the tip of a cotton swab with the makeup remover and gently pat it into your eyeliner. Then, roll or twist the cotton swab over the eyeliner and watch as it disappears.^{[2]

Use your fingernails to remove eyeliner buildup on your lashes. Make sure to clean your eyelashes after each use so you can wear them over and over again!
