A stepping stone is a very pretty decoration made of concrete. It looks great on front steps, and is fun to make. Here's how!
Steps
-
1Go to local store and purchase concrete mix. Also purchase some decorations such as seashells, river stones, beads, sea glass, marbles, and other little things to decorate your stepping stones with.
-
2Put about two cups of the mix in an aluminum pan and add one cup of water. You can also add dye to change the color of the cement at a local hardware store.Advertisement
-
3Mix the concrete up and put your hand print into the mix if you choose to.
-
4Decorate it with the river stones, beads, seashells, and anything else you want, and let it dry.
-
5Note that the cement should be like brownie batter, not too wet.
-
6Let it sit 30 min or so before pressing in bits of glass, shells, rocks, etc; to have it set up strong, let it dry in a shaded area and sprinkle it with the hose a couple times a day depending on the heat for a week or so.
-
7Finished.
