In India, teas are diverse. They are spiced up. However, some are not served as tea bags. Tea powder is sold, and they are like small seeds. The method to make tea with them is slightly different.
Steps
-
1Mix about half a cup of water and the same amount of milk and heat the mixture in a microwavable device or on the stove or in an electric kettle until hot.
-
2Add in about two teaspoons of the tea powder/seeds and stir it. Be careful not to add more than that because the tea will become highly concentrated.Advertisement
-
3Wait for few minutes until the liquid becomes medium brown.
-
4Turn off the microwave / stove / kettle when the liquid (tea) rises to the top.
-
5Filter the tea into a cup through a netted device (sieve/channi). The powder/seeds should be held back, allowing the tea to collect in the cup. Continue until all the tea has been collected.
-
6Sweeten with honey or sugar.
-
7Enjoy your piping hot cup of Indian tea!
