Learn how to draw ninja throwing stars (a.k.a. shurikens) following these simple steps! Let's begin!
Steps
Method 1
Method 1 of 2:
Four-Point Shuriken (Ninja Star)
-
1Draw a circle at the center of the page.
-
2Draw a wavy vertical line going through the center of the circle. Make a horizontal copy of the same line and place it intersecting the vertical line at the center of the circle.Advertisement
-
3Highlight these lines except the parts inside the circle.
-
4Connect the outermost tip of these lines by drawing a line similar to a stretched roman number two (2). Repeat this line pattern until all tips are connected.
-
5Add line details to make it appear sharp.
-
6Erase unnecessary lines. Add a curve line inside the circle to make a 3D volume effect.
-
7Color the drawing as desired (preferably metallic tones).

Method 2
Method 2 of 2:
Six-point Shuriken (Ninja Star)
-
1Draw a circle at the center of the page.
-
2Draw three equally long straight lines, with each of its center intersecting at the core of the circle. Make the tips of these lines of equal distance from each other, forming something like spokes of a wheel.
-
3Draw a slightly bigger outer circle (but not beyond the lines), still having the same center as the rest.
-
4With this new circle, draw three intersecting lines within it (with their center also aligned to the smaller circle's core). Make these smaller lines go between the longer lines in equal spaces from each other.
-
5Starting from the tip of any of the longest line, draw straight diagonal lines on both sides towards the outer circle. Connect these lines with the ones from the other tips via a U-shaped depression in between.
-
6Erase unnecessary lines. Add line details to make it appear sharp.
-
7Add shadow tones. Color the drawing as desired (preferably metallic tones).
