Re-purpose old bed springs into works of art by making a “spring wreath” this season. The play on words, plus the environmentally friendly nature of this project will not only honor ushering in a new season but also pay tribute to Earth Day.

Method 1

  3. 3
Pick up craft wire so you can tie the springs together. For best results, purchase wire that is the same colors as your bed springs. And older, antique look may require black wire whereas newer springs may do better with silver/grey wire.
  4. 4
Find a strong pair of wire cutters so you can size the craft wire appropriately.

Method 2
Method 2 of 2:

Create Wreath

  1. 1
Inspect and clean springs. Although you may be looking for an antique appeal, make sure your springs have been relieved of all dust and debris. Use mild dish soap and a clean rag to wipe down each spring.
  2. 2
Position springs in a circle to “sketch” out your wreath. Before you wire it together you’ll want to see how it will appear.
  3. 3
Wire springs together. Cut two to three pieces of wire to bind the springs to one another.
  4. 4
  5. 5
    Hang it on your door!
