2008 CHILD Participation Table and Map
Percentage of U.S. Children >4 months and < 6 years with 2+ Immunizations in IIS
In 2008, 75% of the U.S. children less than 6 years of age participated in a grantee immunization information system (IIS). Nineteen states, two cities, and the District of Columbia reported over 95% of their children greater than 4 months and less than 6 years of age with at least two immunizations in the IIS. Eleven states were approaching the national health objective, with participation of 81%-94%.

2008 PUBLIC PROVIDER Participation Table and Map
Percentage of Public Provider Sites Actively Participating in IIS by Grantee
An average of 74% of public immunization provider sites submitted data to their IIS during the last six months of 2008. Twenty grantees reported that >95% of public provider vaccination sites submitted immunization data to an IIS; 11 reported submission of immunization data by 81%-94% of public provider vaccination sites. These results are based on self reported data from CDC immunization grantees.
