Who Uses Boundless?

Boundless provides educators with materials that can replace textbooks, on a platform that is comprehensive and flexible.

Learning Objective

  • Differentiate among the varying needs of Boundless's customer segments

Key Points

    • Boundless is largely intended for an introductory college-level audience; our features are designed with university classes in mind.
    • These features include robust LMS integrations and a cutting-edge authoring platform for professors who want to add their own content.
    • Boundless can also be adapted for the high school audience; our modular structure can allow courses to be redesigned for this level (and our introductory-college level material is ideally suited for AP courses.)
    • Boundless content can also be used in the workplace to teach employees valuable skills.

Full Text

Boundless courseware is primarily used at the introductory college level, but our platform and content can be adapted to a wide range of levels.

Boundless for Colleges and Universities

The content covered by our books is equivalent to what would be covered in a 101-level course for that subject. Boundless books can be further customized to fit the specific needs of any syllabus, by either integrating more material, or simply reordering the existing table of contents.

Reducing Costs

Textbook costs have risen 812% over the last 30 years. At triple the rate of inflation, this places an untenable burden on college students; the average student spends $1,200 on textbooks and other materials each year. Boundless is committed to ensuring affordable access to the resources students need to succeed.

Easy to Adopt

Boundless has developed seamless integrations with the four leading Learning Management Systems (LMS) used in college classrooms: Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, and Moodle. These integrations allow professors to use Boundless material within the LMS they already use and know. This also means students can access their readings and complete assignments without having to leave their LMS.

Authoring Platform

Boundless also provides an authoring platform for educators looking to add their own material to the site. By leveraging Boundless, professors can gain access to the various study tools and educational aids that are part of the Boundless platform. In addition, professors can write material that augments our existing texts to form unique products that are tailored to specific classes.

Boundless for High Schools

While Boundless textbooks are designed with introductory college classes in mind, in the high school setting, this translates to AP-level classes, which are intended to serve as equivalent to first-year university courses. Boundless is an excellent resource for educators looking for an affordable, college-quality resource for their students.

At the same time Boundless' modular structure allows high school teachers to modify content to more precisely align with the needs of an AP test. Boundless has broad, but thorough coverage of a variety of AP subjects that are already at the reading and content level that these classes are designed to meet.

Boundless for the Workplace

Boundless offers introductory material that can come in handy regardless of your field. Our Accounting, Business, Economics, and Finance content can teach important skills related to money management. Communications, Management, and Marketing content teach important skills for thriving in the business world. And our Writing content can give a refresher about best practices for expressing yourself on paper. (Not to mention our fourteen other subjects!)
