I am an Electrical Engineer and worked in IT for 10 years (including in encryption) before going into the law. I am a director of the Australian Information Security Association and regularly speak around Australia educating boards on the importance of taking security seriously, preparing for breaches and how to recover from breaches. It is a pretty sweet gig.
