  • Electric Potential in Human

    • Electric potentials are commonly found in the body, across cell membranes and in the firing of neurons.
    • Neurons receive an impulse at the dendrites.
    • When the signal reaches the end of the axon, neurotransmitters are released, which then are received by the dendrites of the next neuron.
    • The next neuron repeats the process outlined above.
    • Neurons receive an impulse at the dendrites.
  • Nerve Conduction and Electrocardiograms

    • A voltage is created across the cell membrane of a neuron in its resting state.
  • Overview of Electric Current

    • The firing of neurons in your brain is also an example of electric current - that is, the movement of electric charge through a conductive medium.
