Boundless and Canvas

At Boundless, we strive to deliver our product in whatever way is most convenient for students and educators. That means we maintain easy-to-use and robust integrations with the market's major LMSs, including Canvas by Instructure.

Integrating with Canvas 

All it takes to install Canvas (even at the institutional level) is a trip to the Canvas app store and a free Boundless account!

Boundless courseware within Canvas

Boundless courseware, including content, assessments, grading, and analytics, can be ported seamlessly into Canvas.

Once an educator creates a Boundless educator account, the LTI keys for the Canvas integration can be found under the educator's Boundless account settings (accessed in your account menu in the top right corner of Boundless.com). The LTI keys are two long strings: the consumer key and shared secret.

The next step is to go to the Canvas app store and search for Boundless. The only things necessary for installing Boundless are the consumer key and the shared secret. Once these LTI keys are entered, the Boundless tab will be installed in the sidebar of the educator's Canvas instance, and they can go in and attach any Boundless book (with any customizations they choose!) to the course.
